RFID EXPERTS FAIRFIELD JOIN THE MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY CENTRE

Fairfield Limited, leading lights in the provision of RFID solutions to manufacturing organisations, are delighted to announce their newly signed membership to the highly respected MTC (Manufacturing Technology Centre).

The MTC, which opened in 2011 from an impressive purpose-built facility in Ansty Park, Coventry, is a member based organisation focused on pioneering the use of leading edge technologies for UK manufacturing.  Now with over 75 members the organisation aims to bridge the gap between university-based research and the development of technology in line with the Government’s manufacturing strategy.

Fairfield has been delivering leading edge Auto ID solutions to manufacturing across Europe since 1982 and has delivered many, complete end-to-end solutions, including a variety of elements such as consultancy, software, systems integration, hardware, consumables, RFID tags and readers.  Fairfield’s model is to work with customers to design intelligent trials and help manage projects from pilot right through to successful roll out, offering advice and guidance throughout.

Dr. Clive Hickman, Chief Executive of the Manufacturing Technology Centre said, “We are very pleased to welcome Fairfield to the MTC.  They bring a wealth of RFID knowledge and experience to our members as well as the right RFID partner connections. They also have vast expertise across the whole range of other related technologies such as barcoding, 2D codes, laser marking and coding, OCR and verification solutions.  I am sure Fairfield will contribute significantly to the many varied projects we have planned.”

Mark Lynch, Managing Director of Fairfield Group said, “RFID is on the brink of a global revolution and Fairfield’s exposure, over the years, to track and trace processes within some of the very best automotive, aerospace, food and packaging manufacturers across Europe, I am sure, will be of benefit to our fellow MTC members as they embrace RFID in the next few years.  We are incredibly proud to be part of the MTC.  The facility provides an excellent environment for the development and demonstration of new technologies for UK manufacturing.”
