RFID (Radio Frequency Identification)

Typical UHF RFID Wet Clear Inlays

Businesses will apply RFID tags to several billion items this year, giving each of them a unique digital identity and allowing them to make better business decisions – it’s now less of a science project and more just good business practice, in line with the emerging trends of Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things.

How could this help your business? One way is that RFID can help improve efficiency – for example in inventory control or logistics. With bar codes, you need line of sight to scan the code. With RFID, however, you can scan what’s in the box without opening the box, saving you significant time. With barcodes, you can only read one at a time – with RFID, you can reads hundreds within a second or two, without needing line of sight

If you have questions, we can help, such as “will RFID work on metal?”, ”can RFID be embedded into metal?”, “what about on liquids?”, “can it be inserted into wood?”, “what about on vehicle windscreens?” – the answer to all of these questions is “yes” with specific tags, so best not to discount RFID on stories you may have heard before!

We’d love to show you how it all works and the effect it could have within your organisation. We could either encode the inlays for you, or provide everything you need to produce your own encoded tags or even a custom solution which will integrate into your existing manufacturing system.

Arrange to visit our Demonstration facility to see how RFID could work for you, or simply to discuss your idea.
